CAROUSEL FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE

Three tiered White mud & rasberry swirl cake. Bottom tier is iced in white & decorated with green coconut grass. Top tiers are hand painted with washes of pink food coloring.

Flowers are icing & horses have been pierced (very fiddly) to allow straws to pass through to form the carousel ride!

TOSHIKO'S 80TH BIRTHDAY CAKE

My Mother-in-law's 80th birthday cake was made up of 3 white chocolate mud tiers.

The top red tier was balanced on a long-stemmed glass that I filled with "80" scatters. The bottom tier was also red & both were embellished with white feathers.

The middle white tier was studded with edible silver beads.

I made a separate small red heart cake for the 80th birthday candle.
